The location was absolutely stunning, taking our breath away with the castle on the hill just beside the hotel. Trains do not run at night, but it is a 30‑minute ride to Myjava for 2 € each way. We were tired when we arrived, yet the big smile and warm welcome we received made us feel right at home, and we enjoyed an amazing breakfast where you could choose the time you wanted to have it. The beers on tap were excellent. We tried some local grapes, and Owen was very informative, kind, and a truly great host. Thank you. There is nothing negative.

The service and hospitality of the owner were wonderful, making me feel at home. The breakfasts were good with a variety of options, and the cocoa for children was unlimited.

We stayed from Friday to Sunday for two nights. The rooms were simple but clean, spacious, and offered a nice view of the castle or the train station. The terrace and outdoor area invite you to linger. In the evening you can sit outside, enjoy the well‑served beer and the tasty snacks and dishes from the host. Breakfast was tasty and offered a wide selection. The quiet location is relaxing, and the proximity to the castle practically obliges you to take a nice trip up there. For me, the absolute highlight is the host and owner – very friendly, communicative, and courteous. There were repeated small pleasant surprises. Such service and professionalism are rare, and honestly, not something I expected here. It’s clear he loves his work and his pension. That passion makes the stay special. I can only recommend the pension, and we will definitely come back. We’re already looking forward to more pleasant conversations and the unique service.
