“Cheap for a reason”

Cheap for the F1 weekend, the rooms were spacious and I could easily get a bolt because it was outside the F1 road closure area, but the carpets were filthy, the staff promised to bring items to the room and never did, the towels had holes, and everything could be heard at night.

I mentioned we were there for our wedding anniversary and they only decorated the room a little; the hotel was terrible, nothing like the photos, the toilets, pillows, sheets, and carpets smelled like rotting flesh, hair everywhere, the toilet door wouldn’t close, the shower cabin had no glass and everything got wet, there was tea but no cups or kettle, the hot water in front of the door was just a trick, the towels we asked for smelled damp, we waited two days for a iron, they had one but couldn’t find it and didn’t give it to us, they asked us to cancel our booking from Booking because of a cut, it’s definitely not worth the money, it’s far from the center… the staff were friendly, but everything else was awful; how could this place get such a high rating? We were shocked when we entered.
