The location is great with terrific beach views and close to the sites we wanted to visit; staff were very helpful and overall service was very good, though housekeeping was occasionally a little erratic.

I loved the breakfast, especially the quality and variety of the food. The building looks great, modern, and sits in a prime spot in Camps Bay. The only downside was that the laundry service was a bit pricey.

The location and breakfast were excellent, and the staff were friendly! We stayed in a Cabana Room, which was worth it because you can step right out onto the deck and lounge chairs—perfect for a family. The extra bed in the Cabana Room is a sofa that comfortably fits people up to 140 cm tall; taller guests won’t fit. When it’s windy, the whole room drafts, but that’s just nature. The hotel feels a bit old, yet the Lagr compensates for that. We’d come back.

From check‑in to check‑out everything was smooth—friendly staff, clean rooms, and the coastal‑to‑country dinner was amazing; the food was next‑level and the security at the Bay entrance was solid. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like; keep up the great service.
