Hotel Amadeus

Hotel Amadeus in Budweis is a real discovery and comes with an unconditional recommendation! From the outside it looks rather plain, but inside you find a beautifully maintained, bright, and friendly house. The cleanliness impressed us the most – everything is spot on. Our room was spacious, bright, and fully equipped with a fridge, TV, kettle, plenty of sockets, and a roomy bathroom with a bathtub. Despite being on a street, the double windows kept it pleasantly quiet. The key‑deposit check‑in worked smoothly. The breakfast deserves special mention: not a huge buffet, but a carefully selected, freshly prepared, generous, and exceptionally tasty spread. The staff are very friendly, and the value for money is excellent. We felt completely at ease here and will gladly return on future trips through the Czech Republic. This small hotel offers exactly what we expect from a good accommodation. Absolutely recommend! Barriers are not provided, it’s not very suitable for vegans, and there’s carpet (but house slippers are available).

“Skvělé ubytování s ještě skvělejší snídaní”

After initial complications with the room at check‑in, everything was resolved very quickly, which I appreciate. The stay was very pleasant; the rooms are beautifully furnished. The furniture is comfortable, the mattress was pleasant, and we slept very well. The only thing that mildly annoyed me was the creaky bed, but that’s really a minor detail. Everything was clean and tidy, the linens were nicely scented. The hotel staff are very pleasant. What I must praise are the excellent breakfasts. They are well thought out and refined to the last detail. Each day you must choose a breakfast in advance, whether you want savory or sweet. You also have plenty of fruit, vegetables, teas, coffee, spreads, etc. The kitchen staff are truly top‑class, and I really enjoyed it! It’s a shame I didn’t photograph the breakfast for the review – maybe next time :)

The accommodation was close to the old town, quiet and clean, but the room was plain and lacked any attention to detail.

The staff were helpful, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was decent. The bathroom equipment was insufficient and there was no work desk.
