The location was beautiful, the garden lovely, the restaurant good, and the décor pleasing. However, the room lacked information such as a hot‑bath guide; we couldn’t get the hot bath to work and had to ask reception the next day. They explained that the bath needed to be half full first, which we hadn’t realized because we didn’t want to waste water.

The hotel suits a visit to Jibharni, a short drive away, and the surroundings are green and rural. The location’s gimmick is above a flour mill and a nice river, though it can be noisy. The room we stayed in was spacious, renovated, and had a pleasant design. Breakfast was standard French, the room was cleaned daily and towels refreshed efficiently, and some staff were welcoming. There was a gap between the hotel’s portrayal on Booking and reality: the parking lot was very far, and they offered us a room that didn’t match the reservation in terms of accessibility. The staff helped by swapping rooms and opening a gate close to the luggage area. In the room we received, the entrance doors were transparent without a screen or curtain, compromising privacy. The spa was an extra cost, which was disappointing given the room price. There was nothing to do in the evening around the hotel. The restaurant was pricey with a limited menu. We didn’t like that staff pointed out where to wander around the campus and where to sit in the dining room. The vintage theme was charming but sometimes overdone; the dining room furniture lacked taste and unity, the chair and table were wobbly, and the bedside lamp wasn’t very pleasant. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the stay.
