There was a hiccup with check‑in, but the owner resolved it quickly and gave me a more comfortable room; all the address details were sorted out beforehand. The apartment is close to the train station, the city centre, and everything is within walking distance.

The spot is close to the train station, Quintino Sella, just one stop before Bari Centrale when coming from the airport. The train was heavily delayed, yet the host waited for us until late night. Breakfast was dry Nutella‑topped crackers or a nap.

We liked the location: 10 minutes to the main shopping street, 10‑15 minutes to the sights, 15 minutes to the main station. We got a different room because the one we booked had a bathroom issue. The bed was a bit softer, but otherwise excellent. Carlito was very friendly and helpful, and there was no problem storing luggage for a late airport transfer. Breakfast was a bit weak for us—just coffee and croissants—but we understand that’s their Italian breakfast.

“Nagyon kelemetlen volt hideg rideg és nedves levegő büdös dohos szag.”

There is no window on the street‑front entrance; you have to walk two corners to get breakfast, and only chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio croissants are offered with coffee. Nothing else. I can’t start my day with that much sugar. The bar service was also below average.
