The hotel was brand new, so everything was in great condition and the beds and pillows were very comfy. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size with plenty of storage (though no hangers?). A nice balcony view. The area is quiet and a few local eateries are not too far. The location was a bit of a walk from the main area across the bridge, and all the restaurants and bars. We only walked once because the bridge is definitely not pedestrian friendly and my wife was very scared. There isn’t a pavement for walkers and motorcycles/tuk‑tuks come past very close and at great speed. It is only $1 for a tuk‑tuk with the Pass app so no problem. The main issue for us was that we booked the hotel for its roof‑top area with a swimming pool, which wasn’t actually swimmable and there was still work going on around the pool and café area. Also, we were in the room directly below, so it was very noisy over the weekend. Not sure how they did the photos on the website that enticed us in! Would have given a higher score. Anyway, bad timing for us, but the owners were very nice and apologetic and there was no noise the next two mornings! It will be lovely when finished (probably by now) and I wish the business well.

There was no restaurant on site, but when we asked for a cold beer (after arriving by motorcycle) someone was sent to fetch it. We wanted to book another day, but that wasn’t possible. So we found another hotel nearby. At departure it turned out that it was now possible to stay another day, but we had already booked elsewhere. We found that really disappointing.

A very pleasant and tidy guesthouse that I really enjoyed; I’ll definitely return.

I was pleasantly surprised to find an elevator on the high floor, and the balcony offered a nice view of Buge Mountain. The room was spacious, fully equipped, and the host was friendly. However, there were hairs under the sheets and inside the pillowcase, which made me feel uneasy, and a spiderweb on the toilet wall, which I guess is inevitable in the tropics.
