Breakfast was excellent. The only issue was the construction around the hotel when I arrived; everything else was almost perfect.

The receptionist was warm and helpful, the location is nice, and the cocktail lady and breakfast were great. I’ve never written a negative review for a hotel, but I was very disappointed: we stayed just one night and the room fell short. The wardrobe area was dark, the light bulb seemed missing, and the room was noisy with other guests slamming doors. I noted that a full refit is planned for 2027 (I think), so the bedrooms should improve. On our road trip staying in eight hotels, we felt overcharged compared to others.

Everything was good; the staff were very nice and the continental breakfast lovely. The room was cozy, small but with personality, unlike the uniform places today— I liked that old‑hotel vibe. People were there celebrating and having fun. Because it’s old, there were few unused electrical outlets for all our devices, so we had to take turns.
