The location is great. If you want a modern, updated place this isn’t it. There’s no elevator, so you have to haul your luggage up three flights of stairs to reach the third floor. The rooms are very small, everything is very expensive, and if you’re after a 1930s vibe this is the place for you.

The location, history, and architecture of the lodge are impressive.

The lobby and restaurant are great, but you have to walk to your room.

The location is pretty good for exploring the southeastern parts of the park. We knew it was going to be pricey because it’s a historic inn, but the price still didn’t justify the room. The biggest downside was the lack of electrical outlets to charge our devices; I always travel with an extension power strip and long USB cords.
