The views were awesome, the hotel was accessible and Mariu made our family feel welcome and served delicious marmalades from her own garden. Thanks for everything! Nothing else to add.

“Eccellente”

The stay was truly pleasant, the property was welcoming and tidy, the owners were kind and available. Breakfast was top, served in a cozy garden. The lemon pudding made by the host was spectacular and worth trying again.

The advertised “suite deluxe” was nothing like the listing: the property was exhausting and the ad was completely misleading. We booked a “suite deluxe” for four people, expecting a high‑rated experience, but the accommodation had a normal‑looking room and a second sleeping area that seemed to be a converted balcony/terrace with windows, poorly screened. In August in Sicily, with AC only in the main room, this second area became suffocating. The “normal” room also had issues: the skylight was crudely covered and showed clear mold and damp. Between the two rooms and the bathroom there were only three usable power outlets, plus exposed wires and connections. The mattresses and springs were very uncomfortable, so you could feel the coils at night. The bathroom was probably the worst: broken shower, dirty, greasy, sticky curtain and rusty parts. We didn't even have a fridge in the room; there was one shared among three apartments, and we couldn't even fit a few cold water bottles. We were stunned to see a Booking sign outside with a 9/10 rating. Given the condition we found, we can't understand how it can have such a high average rating and reviews. We're not talking about a few minor flaws or a dated property: cleanliness, maintenance, comfort and services were, in our experience, far from the idea of a “suite deluxe” and the expectations set by the ad and rating. If we had known the real conditions earlier, we would never have booked.

Mariù was a perfect guest, helpful and discreet at all times. We tasted her freshly baked cake and homemade jams, both excellent. The room we stayed in was comfortable and very cozy. What I liked most was the garden, a place to relax with a nice view. The only downside was the steep little road.
