This was a great spot for young people traveling on a budget
“Voor doorreis een prima hotel”
The hotel was good, the breakfast was excellent, and they even gave us sandwiches for the road. On the second floor the lift was broken, which was an issue because my partner has mobility problems.
“Solala.”
The room itself was basically fine and the breakfast met my expectations. The bathroom was dirty; dust and mold had accumulated on the windowsills. The shower curtain was brown and grimy at the bottom edge. Below the air conditioner there was a reservoir where the (presumably) condensate collected. Even though the air conditioner was off, water still dripped into that reservoir, and it was so fast that the float triggered every hour all night, pumping out water for about 10 seconds each time, sounding like a coffee machine pumping water. After the first night I reported it at reception, where another guest had reported the same issue. The receptionist said it was normal but would call a technician, who apparently was also there. The second night it was more tolerable.
“Great breakfast in moder place in Augsburg”
The place was clean, with fancy decoration and modern touches, and the breakfast was great. The staff were helpful, especially since I was arriving very late at midnight; they gave clear instructions on how to get to the hotel and to my room. However, because of Oktoberfest I would have liked a more convenient location for moving to and from Munich, and the hotel is a little far from Augsburg downtown.
The location near the fairgrounds was convenient, but the hotel’s elevator was broken for the entire stay, and the air‑conditioning made extreme noise every night even when it was switched off. The reception didn’t take the complaint seriously and said it was normal, which was unacceptable given how loud it actually was. About five other guests shared the same issue. Our room was also dirty, the service was poor and unfriendly, and breakfast offered very little variety—almost no vegetarian options, only soy milk, no oat milk, and several dishes were served in the same bowls for three consecutive days; the salad looked like it had sat there since the day before. Parking spaces were far too limited.
