“Nice stay in Palac Staniszow with a wonderful swimming-pool!”
I picked this charming place for a few reasons: First, the swimming pool was GREAT; I’ve never seen such a beautiful pool in a place like this (decorated with paintings, a library, a wooden ceiling, a chimney, very comfortable beds… Truly worth the visit!). Second, the house itself inside and out, and the surrounding park are incredibly beautiful and well maintained. The romantic atmosphere of old manors is really there :) The staff in the restaurant were very nice and helpful, and the waiters were great. I chose this hotel for a third reason: massage services. They don’t provide massages daily, so you have to check before booking if you want to avoid a deception. The room was cold (in September), and there was no hot water in the shower in the afternoon (after coming back from the pool), so I advise you to shower after swimming in the building’s showers, not in your bedroom. I really missed simple tea/coffee facilities (just a kettle would have been great) in our bedroom as I was a bit ill (toothache and a cold) and in such moments a nice cup of tea can bring a lot of comfort! The breakfast was a bit disappointing for those who prefer a continental breakfast, as there were only very few sweet options; everything else was savory and there was only one (excellent) sweet cake available. All the food looked really nice, but more suited for lunch for French/Italian people like us! If you go to the restaurant, my advice: make sure there isn’t a wedding party on the other side, because in the kitchen they barely managed to provide normal service both for “regular” clients and the wedding group. So we had to wait about 1 hour 50 minutes before being served… Knowing they were so busy, we would have chosen another restaurant instead of waiting that long. Except for the wait time, the food was excellent and all meals were lovely, so I DO recommend the restaurant… but only when there’s no wedding party.
