Perched on a hillside 4 km from Tossa de Mar, Zel Costa Brava provides panoramic sea views, a fitness centre, nine tennis courts and an outdoor pool. Bright apartments feature tiled floors. Guests enjoy beach volleyball, three restaurants—including a Mediterranean rice‑specialty venue—and three bars, one beachfront. Shuttle and funicular connect to the beach; Girona lies 45 minutes away.

I was blown away by everything, especially the staff. The reception ladies, the breakfast, lunch and dinner waitresses, and the activity guide for our nordic walking and cycling were all fantastic.

The location, the room itself which was very comfortable, and the quiet green surroundings were all great. Breakfast was divine, with so many options you don’t know where to start. The staff were also very friendly, letting us check out much later than the scheduled time because of the storm, and the night we arrived they brought our luggage to the room in a cart. The downside, in my opinion, is that for the price you pay—already a bit high—you have to pay extra for the indoor pool, sauna, and Turkish bath.
