We checked in and the TV in the room wouldn’t work, so we were moved to another room that also had no electricity. We complained but ended up staying in that room, needing to charge our phones and having a drink, but the new room still had no TV working. No courtesy breakfast, apology, or anything was offered. We now have a flight to catch with hardly any charge on our phones and are very disappointed with the service. We were recommended to stay here but will never do it again.

We were near the wedding venue, which was convenient, but the hotel turned out to be a misrepresentation: we arrived at the Sefton Park Hotel only to learn that the actual accommodation was the Liverpool Agiburth Hotel ten minutes away, yet it carried the Sefton Park name. Checking in was a nightmare; I had to call a number, and the manager sent me a door code and room instructions. Three minutes later a young man appeared and asked if we were there to check in, which was a clear mismatch. The room was awful—dust everywhere, especially in the wardrobe and on the floors. Lighting was poor, some bulbs were missing or blown, and the kettle was dusty. The bathroom was appalling: hair in the corners of the floor, pink mould on the shower head and walls, black mould around the shower door, and a rusty radiator. Worse, there was no hot water in the shower; I had to use the sink tap, and brown dirt came out, ruining the hot water. I contacted the manager during the wedding party, who checked the room and asked if we wanted to move. I said no because we were leaving Saturday the 26th in the morning. The bedroom window safety latch was broken, and the window opened so wide that a child could fall out. When we checked in we asked about breakfast, and were told it was available from 09:00 to 11:00. We went down at 09:30 on Friday, but by 10:00 there was no hint of breakfast aroma. For the price paid, the overall experience was poor, and I will never return.

The location was good and the place was quiet, but the window wouldn't close, letting cool air keep blowing into the room all the time.
