“A few disappointing things although we still had a very relaxing weekend with great company.”
The space was great for all of us, and we had a wonderful weekend, though a few things fell short of my expectations. There was no firewood for the fire, so we had to buy our own, which was inconvenient. Communication through Weekender was absolutely terrible; they said the bed configurations would be different, yet after spending a lot of time on the phone they were still wrong. They didn’t send us the second code that was needed. The outdoor area was not great; for the number of people the dining table was too small and the lounge didn’t fit everyone. The spa was turned off and had no instructions on how to use it, so we spent a lot of time trying to figure it out. Some pillows were terrible—ANKO pillows had barely any fluff, making them uncomfortable to sleep on. The outside chair was broken, the old wooden two‑seater was very unsteady and one of the girls fell off it. There was duck poo everywhere, clearly someone hadn’t cleaned up before we arrived. I understand that might be unavoidable, but cleaning beforehand would have helped. There were duck marks on the walls and roof, and not enough bins outside. We tried to gather our own firewood, but the wheelbarrow was broken, making it hard. The Wi‑Fi was supposed to work according to the instructions, but it didn’t work at all. We followed the instructions to get it to work for music, which was very disappointing. I have to sound negative, but I know feedback is always useful for a business.
