“Charming historic inn offering spacious rooms”

The inn’s historic charm is a real treat, and it’s right by the ferry terminal. Rooms were clean, roomy, and even had a fridge‑freezer combo plus a microwave – handy for us. The owners were warm and welcoming, and the antique furnishings added a nice touch. No complaints at all – definitely coming back.

Located right in town, close to the ferry and the Swallow Tail lighthouse, this old hotel feels modern yet keeps its character alive. Antiques line the hallways and rooms, and the small fridge even has a freezer section. The bathroom got a nice makeover, and the round snack table is cozy. Nothing to nitpick.

“I recommend The Marathon and Grand Manan!”

We love historic buildings, and this place delivers with carved wood and wide board floors. The hotel sits up high, so the harbor view from the third floor is gorgeous. The location is spot‑on, and owner Al was kind, gracious, and respectful—couldn’t ask for more.

Breakfasts were quick, full, and served with a cheerful smile. The downside? No kettle or tea/coffee/milk in the room, and the staff seemed a bit clueless about some local details.
