The Waterfront Hotel at Fisherman's Village

“Overpriced, very run down”

It’s well situated, but there’s a sewer smell. As others mentioned, it’s overpriced (we paid about 2.5kh per night). The electricity sockets are hanging out of the wall and everything feels run down. The nearby beach isn’t swimmable, but about 500 metres away is fine. An American owner and his wife said they’ll close after we leave and might renovate later in the year. The overpricing leaves a bad taste.

“An unpleasant experience”

A private beach was advertised but was not available because of environmental conditions. No advance notice was given about building works. Restaurant facilities were advertised but not available. Many areas were run down and not clean.

I liked the location, but the rooms feel outdated and in need of a refresh.

“Find a different hotel.”

The location was great, far enough from the busy and noisy part of Fishermans Village but close enough for an easy walk. The staff and manageress were lovely and did their best under difficult circumstances. The hotel is dilapidated and desperately needs a complete refurbishment. Management knows this and it’s in the pipeline, but as of Feb 2026 there’s no date or even an architect. Given the extent of the required works, I’d be surprised to see this finished in time for the 2026‑27 season. Naturally, none of this was mentioned on the website when I booked.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always willing to help. The hotel itself was spotless, well maintained, and very comfortable. My room was spacious, quiet, and thoughtfully designed, making it a perfect place to unwind. The facilities were excellent, and everything was run efficiently with genuine care for the guests.
