“Worth the price, great location, friendly staff”

Exactly what I expected: a hostel room in the Khao San area. It’s a bit drab, but worth the price. The location was perfect for nightlife, food, and smoking if that’s your thing, and it’s far enough from the main Khao San road to stay quiet. The staff at the bar/dispensary downstairs made us feel very welcome, and we could sit there without buying anything while staying upstairs. They also offered a good selection of drinks and food if we wanted it. The air‑con was noisy and there was no TV remote, but it’s a room you just need for sleeping, and there’s so much to do in the area!

The air‑con was clean, the bed was comfy, and the room was tidy. However, they strictly enforce rules on cleaning bedsheets and towels.

I liked the location and the fact that I could have a single room with a window for a good price right in the middle of Khao San Road, and everything I needed was literally around. If you have trouble sleeping because of noise, this isn’t the right place for you; I didn’t have any issues, so it was fine for me.

The spot is great and the little bar below the hotel feels welcoming, yet instead of a cozy hotel room we felt like we were in a morgue. The fines posted next to the door for any damage were a strange welcome. Dust under the lamps, spiders, and an 800‑watt AC made us feel like we were at grandma’s house, only missing a picture of Padre Pio. If you have mobility issues, don't come; the stairs are narrow and steep, making it a pain to haul luggage, and we got no help. The final search once we left the room confirmed we had picked the wrong place.
