The location is convenient, not far from the beach and quiet. The house, however, seems to have had better days and feels like a DIY project. The concept is solid, but the craftsmanship is missing. In peak season it could be pleasant if the kitchen is good (we didn’t test it). We could lock our bikes safely. Everything feels like a DIY job and is expensive for the quality and service received. The bathroom and toilet are shared among four rooms, and that wasn’t mentioned on the listing. The place wasn’t very clean either.

It’s a charming spot. I stayed there at the end of October, and during the season it doubles as a restaurant/bar, or at least the area below the house does. You have to see it to believe it. Thomas went out of his way to keep the front room and bedroom warm. His friend Louise helped me with the check‑in and breakfast setup. A cute little village is just down the road (500 m). The shower water was warm and hot. I had the place to myself, which was very relaxing and refreshing before I continued my long bike trip. The weather could have been better, and the lack of dark curtains was an issue since the large windows in the bedroom faced east.
