Guests enjoy a daily buffet breakfast, two lounges, and easy access to local shops. Nearby attractions include Blair Atholl Castle, its museum, the distillery (1 mile), and Highland train and bus routes.

At 74 years old I had never stayed in a youth hostel before. I expected it to be rundown, not very clean, and smelling musty, but I was terribly mistaken. It was immaculate, had everything I needed for an overnight stay and more. The kitchen, dining room, and my en‑suite were spotless. I travel to Skye regularly from the Scottish borders to break my journey in Pitlochry, and I've paid more than double the amount at hotels and BnBs for less. There was even a selection of teas, coffees, and free foods that I enjoyed at breakfast. The views over the town were awesome, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely use this facility again. The only small issue was that the mattress on the bed was a bit hard.

The hostel is beautiful on a hill, overlooking the whole city, with common areas of 10, a fairly large kitchen fully equipped and in very good condition, and rooms of 10 that are clean and comfortable, each with a private bathroom. The service is unbeatable. Highly recommended.
