The hotel is in a very quiet area (Tianqiao), 2 minutes on foot from the metro station and 5 from the west entrance of the Temple of Heaven; the building is nice, modest but offers good value; the city center is 10 minutes by metro. The room and bathroom are rather small, which is very common in China, and the staff don't speak a word of English.

The place is great, quiet, towels are clean and there are water bottles every day. The shower leaked, there were no bedside lamps so you only had the main light and the bed was quite hard.

The staff were kind and helpful overall and the location is great, but a cigarette smell drifted in every night through the bathroom fan and the staff wouldn't let me change rooms without paying extra.
