“Grote tegenvaller”
The food in the restaurant was okay and it was quiet at night. The former glory, especially the “cheaper” rooms in the annex, still feels very pricey for what you get. The garden is poorly maintained with broken garden furniture.
“Didn't sleep due to ancient mattress. Went to sleep in my van in the carpark”
It’s a quiet rural area. The mattress was the world’s worst—thin, pitted, with tired old springs that made a lot of noise; there was no support so you immediately hit the bed frame. It was so bad and impossible to sleep that I left the room around 1:30 am to sleep in my van in the carpark.

The staff were great, but the hygiene was lacking.
The facility only offers basic services. We expected a slightly more varied and abundant breakfast and daily room cleaning. Frankly, given the cost of the stay, we expected more.
