“Atay away while you can! Everything is a better option”

The only thing we liked was how close the place was to our spot. I’m not a fan of hype and price hikes: the photos are from ten years ago, the building looks abandoned and in bad shape, the gate is rusty, the padlocks are sticky and filthy, and the door lock is just taped together. The room door has a basic sliding bolt, the walls are filthy; they’re grimy from guests who’ve been lighting the lights for years. There are cobwebs in the bathroom, no shower drain, and a rusted shower rail whose white coating has worn off from grease and grime, plus a cracked mirror. And an antique, smelly blanket with no sheet to sleep under? The owner is “honest” if you don’t like the overcharge, just leave and you won’t get a refund. So when he charges €8 it’s already “quite a lot”. Over €10 it’s a rip-off for the €24… check Georgetown… even the promised jacuzzi and terrace is there and the 36 m² isn’t suddenly 16 m² like with this “accommodation”.

I liked the deal, but the TV was broken and there was a lot of hair on the ceiling.

“Tak selesa dan tak selamat”

The pictures didn’t match reality. The terrace house was turned into many small rooms like a cheap motel. The ground floor had a few rooms for long‑term tenants. The outdoor area was messy, shoes scattered everywhere, and dirty cloths everywhere. The room I rented smelled sour.

Every room has its own lock and private bathroom. The air conditioning is cool. There’s a shared fridge and a hot/cold water dispenser outside the room. The water pressure is good. The pillows are amazing. It’s close to the area where small vendors sell food and drinks at night and right next to the bus stop. The facilities are very good. It could be a bit cleaner but it’s not that bad. I’ll come back if I need to stay around the area. PS: please put slippers for the bathroom.
