It’s a lovely hotel, built in the late 1930s and early 1940s, located on the main street of the La Paloma resort, a block from the beach, and still well situated; it used to house a casino and a nightclub that no longer exist. It has a heated pool and an outdoor pool that, while not huge, are useful. The hotel was highly regarded in its heyday and today it’s cozy, rooms have been renovated, and though it isn’t a luxury property, it has solid infrastructure for a pleasant stay and one of the best locations in the area. The breakfast could be improved – it was okay but some items were missing.

The pool was nice, but the tap water was so salty it couldn’t even be used to brush teeth; it was super salty! We had breakfast included, but when we arrived at 9 am it was already gone, so we couldn’t eat.

I was pleased with the location, the view from several spots in the hotel, and the building’s potential, plus the open pool and the fresh linens and towels. However, we were a group of three and had to pay as if we were four (since I was traveling with my two adult children), the closed pool’s hygiene was poor, the toilet lid and the bathroom pool furniture were broken, the breakfast carpet felt dirty, bright, and smelly—removing it would improve hygiene, and when we left the room from 9 to 13:30, it still hadn't been cleaned.
