The entire La Galise experience is outstanding. Thibault Paulin and the Paulin Family run a fantastic value‑for‑money hotel. Breakfast is great value, the communal areas exceed the hotel’s rating, and the place is very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The ski location and price are unbeatable, making it the best value in Val d'Isère. I have nothing to criticize.

The location is central and perfect, staff are super friendly, breakfast offers plenty of choices, and the place is very clean. Nothing to add.

The location is excellent and the welcome is warm, but the lack of an elevator could be a drawback with luggage.

“Good but very basic with NO LIFT!”

The spot was spot on – under five minutes on foot to the main ski lift, a rare find. Breakfast hit the mark with boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, and yoghurts, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A small boot room offered warmers and slim lockers that fit two skis and a helmet. The chalet was basic and rooms cramped; one of ours required holding the shower head over the bath, the other’s shower didn’t stay in place so we couldn’t bathe. Daily Wi‑Fi re‑login was a hassle, and the biggest drawback was the lack of an elevator – we were on the third floor, so carrying gear up and down stairs was a chore, especially when we needed to grab something or rest at lunch. No balcony either. It’s fine if you’re fit and only need decent breakfast and simple lodging, but I wouldn’t return unless a ground‑floor room was available.
