Located on a quiet street, it is a 17‑minute walk to World of Beatrix Potter, near Kendal Castle and Coniston Water.

We booked a compact double room on the top floor that was well laid out and had everything we needed for a short stay; the fridge was a major plus and the owners even supplied milk in our preferred type. The value was exceptional, the cleanliness flawless, and the room’s warmth made it cozy for an autumn visit. The sloping ceiling required careful movement in bed and near the window, but that didn’t stop us from staying again—it’s just something to keep in mind.

A friendly greeting from Adam made us feel right at home, and the room was ready early even though we only intended to drop off our luggage and check in later; coffee, sugar, a variety of teas, and our choice of fresh milk were all provided, along with lovely toiletries and towels for our use.
