Hôtel Le Lons is situated in Foix's medieval centre, bordering the Regional Nature Park of the Pyrenees. Elegant rooms feature private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, desks, telephones, and flat-screen TVs. A daily buffet breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the Ariège River. Foix Castle and Train Station are nearby, with Toulouse city centre 92 km away.

The hotel is very well located and the staff are very polite. There is a payment kiosk at the door, but it is hard to find a spot depending on the hour or day; otherwise, there are more options in Foix.

The location is fine. The smell when you enter from the reception to the room is unbearable—mix of dead animal and pigeon droppings. It gets better in the room, but after a while the odor is still noticeable. We were traveling in mid‑October, so it shouldn’t be due to heat. Everything feels very old, not historic. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
