The house was very cold and damp when we arrived—no heating despite the snow, and we had to beg for the heater in hourly increments. The lounge has no windows, so it’s very gloomy, and there’s no seating outside.

The property turned out better than expected; it’s not luxury but fits our needs perfectly, and the location is great for walking or spotting wildlife. The gentleman who met us was friendly and helpful. If you’re self‑catering, take a few utensils with you; the beds are not large, so tall people might feel cramped, but otherwise there were no real dislikes.
