The spot is great for unwinding, tucked in a quiet forest and the closest place to reach Ella rock. The staff were very friendly and the food tasty, though the hot water could use some improvement.

I couldn’t stay there because no one was there to welcome me, and after barely arriving before nightfall at my other lodging, while hiking the Pekoe trail, I got an email telling me I had to pay because I didn’t show up. I actually waited an hour, called, and tried to contact the camp via WhatsApp. In the end I didn’t have to pay after explaining my situation, but it was a real hassle. Probably fine in high season, otherwise not.

The place is very nice in the forest with an amazing view, a good spot to relax outdoors, read a book or just enjoy the surroundings. The food was very good and the staff very friendly. It’s a perfect spot for Pekoe trail hikers, though it’s a bit pricey considering there’s no hot water or electricity and showers aren’t very private. I still enjoyed it overall and would definitely recommend it.
