The ambience was super cozy, quiet and well‑located, but what really set it apart was the service—thanks to the Portuguese staff who were simply wonderful, extremely friendly, attentive, helpful, and always smiling, making us feel truly welcomed; they are the kind of professionals that make a stay extra special and deserve all the praise.

The old‑fashioned décor gave a cozy vibe and the spot was spot‑on, and the breakfast room offered a lovely view of the canal bridge with all the cyclists, yet our double room offered no view at all—just a white concrete wall; it cost the same as a friend’s double that had a canal view, but that view was blocked by scaffolding and workers, so there was no privacy; an email warning us about that would have been appreciated.

The location is excellent for getting around the city and close to the metro, but the interior of the building hasn't been renovated, the bathroom in the room looks old, and I booked three nights yet the room was never cleaned during my stay.
