It’s close to the sea, but there were no basic toiletries, no hair‑dryer so my hair felt uncomfortable after showering, and there were ants and mosquitoes.

I recommend it! The host and family are lovely and can suggest activities or scooter rentals. The accommodation is basic but has everything needed, especially the handy air‑conditioning. It’s a 20‑25 minute walk to Tekek or ABC beach, which can feel long, but a scooter made it easy. A cafeteria right next door is great, and you can also dine at the guesthouse in the evening for tasty meals.

With the crowd full of tourists, this was the only choice left. The price feels high for a room with a shared bath, no closet or towel rack, a musty odor, and no place to hang wet clothes like other beachside stays.
