“This place made our Big Island trip even more special, and we’d happily stay here again next time!”

We absolutely loved our stay here! The room was very spacious, peaceful, and quiet, yet still a short drive from Hilo. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and flexible. We came to the Big Island hoping to catch the volcanic eruption, but the timing kept getting delayed, and they were so understanding and willing to help us coordinate around our changing plans. The Wi‑Fi was also excellent, which made it a great place to work remotely. But the best part, without a doubt, was the cats. 🥹 Every morning, we’d open the door and be greeted by the sweetest little faces saying good morning, and whenever we came back after a long day out, they would be there to welcome us home. They were all super friendly and somehow made all the travel exhaustion disappear instantly.

The self‑check‑in was simple and hassle‑free, which made arriving in the rain and darkness much easier. Our host Randy is very friendly, helpful, and patient. There are 25 cats on the property, and Randy invited us to meet his furry friends. As a cat lover, it was fantastic. Some cats can also be found on the grounds. They’re very affectionate and friendly. Be careful if you drive along the road there. We upgraded to a cottage, which was a real stroke of luck because it gave us more space and let me, a night owl, leave my husband sleeping in peace. It’s new and very clean, with a large lanai. The windows have insect screens, which is very pleasant given the mosquitoes. The lanai has a clothesline; you can do laundry in the main house. The beds can be adjusted electronically with a button for firmness. Heavenly for my back! The view from the lanai goes straight to the ocean, giving a wonderful sunrise view.

Very clean and comfortable, wifi was smooth. The shower water was sometimes cold and sometimes hot.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is incredibly beautiful and scenic, with stunning ocean views and lush tropical greenery everywhere. At night, the sounds of nature were simply magical, falling asleep to those natural melodies was such a special experience! The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Everything we needed was provided, and we felt right at home! The host was amazing, so kind and welcoming. She let us know as soon as the volcano started erupting, and thanks to her we were able to witness it ourselves. That became one of the most unforgettable moments of our trip!

I booked bungalows that were tucked into nature, offering a stunning view and a parking spot right by the front door; the daily local fruit for tourists was a nice touch. I’m a bit particular, so I had to compromise, but overall it was gorgeous.
