We stayed at Baglio Spano for a week. Baglio Spano is close to the beach, surrounded by half‑grown vines. The area isn’t very interesting, but the property itself transports you to another world. The courtyard, building, rooms, and the garden with the pool are all very clean, showing it’s well maintained. Federico ensures the pool is spotless every morning. Breakfast is served in the garden among orange trees, which makes for a pleasant start to the day. Silence and the singing of various birds replace any music. I really liked that the breakfast is made from the best ingredients. There isn’t a table with an abundance of products; it’s only what’s needed. Delicious cakes, marmalade from their oranges, organic honey, nuts, fresh ricotta, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs on request, and great coffee. If you value quality over quantity, you’ll definitely appreciate it! Dinner was prepared by the hosts with great care. I really appreciated the fresh tablecloth and the homemade wine. With a few lamps and the sound of crickets, it tasted even better. Federico helped us organize transport and renting a scooter for two days, so we explored Marsala and Mazara del Vallo. Thank you so much for the breakfast package, even though we left the property before 7 am! The heat was really noticeable right after leaving, so we enjoyed relaxing at Federico’s, by the very warm pool that made us not want to leave Baglio Spano. Thank you, Lea, for her smile and friendly approach :) The lady who prepared our breakfast and dinner, and the ladies who took care of our room every day, kept it fresh and clean! And Roberto 🐈, don’t drink more pool water 😉 If you value peace, attention to detail, and love antiques, you’ll be happy here. I have no major negatives. At first, the owner might have seemed restrained and withdrawn, but that didn’t interfere with relaxation.
