Our stay at Clove Island Essence & Spa Boutique in Matemwe was simply dreamy! The bungalow was gorgeous, the whole property well kept, and the restaurant impressed us. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and it was especially convenient that the restaurant stayed open all the time, so we could eat anytime, even at noon. The beachfront location is just beautiful. There were plenty of loungers everywhere, so we could relax either by the pool or just a few meters away on the beach. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. The entire staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. We also booked a day tour through the resort. That day it was very cloudy and we were initially unsure if the tour would go ahead. The manager took care of it immediately, checked with us and coordinated with the provider. That was really helpful and we were glad to have such hassle‑free assistance. There’s also a gym and a spa, both looking great. It’s a shame we were only there for four days – we would definitely have liked to stay longer! A truly wonderful property with beautiful grounds, tasty food, and an exceptionally warm team. Highly recommended! ❤️🌴

The accommodation is a dream. The rooms are great, the view is amazing, and the grounds are beautiful. We felt incredibly comfortable. The staff are very, very nice, take care of every concern, and make sure the holiday turns into a real dream. We can only recommend the hotel warmly!

Everything was absolutely perfect; we really have nothing to complain about! This hotel is exceptional, both for its stunning setting and the quality of services. The staff are absolutely fantastic: kind, available, and remarkably attentive. We were welcomed with a smile and felt at ease from the moment we arrived. Every team member was lovely and took care of us throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable, and the whole hotel is impeccably maintained. Everything is designed so you can fully enjoy your stay and feel truly out of the ordinary. The beach is also beautiful and especially very calm. It’s almost empty, which allows you to enjoy the setting fully and relax without being surrounded by tourists or crowds. There are also Zanzibarians on the beach who offer various activities if you wish, but they’re not pushy. We had a wonderful stay and are leaving with very beautiful memories. An address we recommend with our eyes closed and one we’ll gladly return to! ❤️
