“Disappointing experience – significant differences between what was advertised and received”
We booked the annex room in the garden, it was spacious, very clean, had plenty of plug sockets, a cupboard that offered great space for our clothes. The TV was a great size, the zircon was easy to control, plenty of lighting, and the bathroom was clean and well presented. The annex itself was clean and comfortable and the housekeeping deserves credit. If you need anything during your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out—we're here to help! - IF ONLY that were the case. I’d like to start by saying I requested TWICE an invoice for the full payment and the venue still hasn't acknowledged my request. (Thanks for your help). Most concerning were the differences between the facilities specifically advertised and what we actually found. Our bungalow was advertised as including a minibar, iron and carbon monoxide detector. None were present. We also could not locate a smoke detector, fire extinguisher or emergency/evacuation information anywhere in our accommodation, some of which are required under Spanish Decree 21/2024. The other major issue was the lack of available staff. Coffee was available in the main house for €3, but there was no milk. We also needed an ironing board. I personally went to the main house at least three times looking for someone to assist us, but nobody was available. (Thanks for your help) I messaged the concierge requesting an ironing board. By the following morning there was still no response. We called and messaged the owner, Jonathan, but again received no response. At 16:05 I eventually sent another message asking, “Will anyone respond to my messages?” (Thanks for your help) When we returned later, Jonathan was at the property. I asked whether he had received my messages, but he repeatedly avoided answering the question. When I explained that there had been no ironing board, no milk and nobody available to assist us, his response was: “What do you expect me to do about it?” (Thanks for your help) Jonathan then told me an ironing board had been placed in our room. I pointed out that this demonstrated my messages had clearly been received and asked why he hadn't replied.
