“Nice comfortable B&B in a peaceful location.”

The cottage sat in a very peaceful countryside yet was close to shops and towns; it was a traditional B&B offering continental breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, various juices, tea, coffee, or cooked breakfast, and the host arranged a convenient time for us. The older couple did everything to make our stay comfortable, providing a kettle, bottled water, various teas, coffee, insomnia coffee (drinking chocolate), and shortbread cookies in each room, plus bedside lamps, phone charging sockets, a private shower or ensuite, plenty of towels, facecloths, and shower gel; they went beyond duty to make our stay special.

“Lovely family run B&B with great views”

The spot’s gorgeous, overlooking the lake and full of character. Margaret and Seamus were great hosts, especially helpful for us cyclists. The bathroom isn’t en‑suite, but we were the only guests, so that didn’t bother us. There’s a lounge for guests with a fantastic view.

The couple went out of their way to keep me happy. Margaret drove me to an event and the next day she took me down to Derry, saving me an extra bus ride. They also catered to my dietary needs. It’s far off the beaten track, which is great if you’re after a peaceful time in beautiful surroundings. The only downside is it’s on a very quiet island, so you’ll need transport for eating out or entertainment.

The owners are very welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast was excellent. Nothing to complain about.
