O Lugar is a six-suite guesthouse in Porto Côvo's fishing village centre, near the fishing port and public transportation. Five suites feature balconies with views, while all rooms are en-suite with free toiletries, hairdryers, and towels. The minimalist, Scandinavian-Mediterranean-inspired property offers a shared lounge, free WiFi, and continental breakfast. No TVs, but games and a relaxed atmosphere promote rest and socialisation.

A charming guest house smack in the middle of Porto Covo, and we absolutely enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony.

The experience at “O Lugar” was marvelous! From the very friendly, attentive, and helpful reception by host Rita, who always handled things with care and a contagious smile, to the room with a splendid view, airy and clean (daily cleaning was highlighted), a generous breakfast served in the room, and a bathroom that was well balanced and functional – everything delighted us greatly! If I ever return to the beautiful Porto Covo, this place will definitely be my go‑to.
