The location was misrepresented, there were no grounds, and the surroundings were not lovely; the dining area was unattractive and there was no nice town nearby.

The hotel sits in a magnificent historic building, the staff are very friendly and attentive, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, there are two excellent restaurants (a tavern and a starred restaurant), breakfast is equally superb, all set in a lovely small village—perfect! Thank you! I just wish I could stay longer.

Breakfast was a feast of delight, the best breakfast I have eaten anywhere in the World. Madame, the owner's wife, was impolite; she never addressed me personally but spoke to a staff member over my head in a rude manner, which does not reflect well on such a special place.

The room and bedding were of good quality. The pool was not heated and only moderately maintained. The gastronomic restaurant was more worthy of a Michelin star.
