B&B Anfiteatro sits atop Lucca’s Roman amphitheatre ruins, offering elegant rooms with exposed wood‑beamed ceilings, air‑conditioning, satellite TV, free Wi‑Fi, and private bathrooms equipped with showers and hairdryers. Guests enjoy a shared lounge with coffee and tea, and are steps from Via Fillungo shopping (50 m) and nearby landmarks such as the Basilica of San Frediano (160 m) and the Church of San Francesco.

We were charmed by the B&B’s calm vibe and ideal location near Piazza D'Anfiteatro, a bit tucked away. Walking around the old town and enjoying the Slow Vita was a treat. Francesco was present, discreet, and ready to answer questions. We truly recommend this B&B.

The location was good, but one of the rooms wasn’t clean when we arrived.

The spot is well‑situated, the room was clean, and the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The host was friendly. The room, however, was very dark even on a bright sunny day, overlooking a narrow courtyard and a vent from a kitchen below. We couldn’t keep the window open until late evening because the food smell was strong. The old air‑conditioner didn’t turn on, the fridge was noisy, and the room wasn’t sound‑proof; we could hear the upstairs washing machine until 11 pm and the afternoon chatter in the lounge as if it were in the room.

The place is in a fantastic spot and the room itself is really lovely, though there was a faint odor coming from the drain.
