“Cute hotel, great location and restaurant, beautiful staff!!!”

We loved this place! We initially booked a regular room because there was only 2 of us, however there was an issue with the aircon being noisey so we had to complain to staff. (I believe they are currently doing upgrades on a lot of the rooms). They upgraded our room pretty much immediately. The staff were very kind and understanding and made our stay 10/10 despite the lack of sleep on the first night. We thank you very much for this effort you made. The room was perfect for what we needed anyway, so the room upgrade was well above our expectations. Great location with an AMAZING australian restaurant attached, the cafe attached was incredible as well. I should add we are Australian, and that was the best Australian food we have ever eaten. Security was always posted at the gates so we felt secure in a big city. We came to Davao to see the eagle sanctuary, definitely stay here if you are doing the same!!!!. Silly question

“Not impressed at location of staff knowledge”

Two staff members told me there was no smoking area at all, so I left without staying; I booked elsewhere, only to find out later that a smoking area did exist, but the info was too late.

“Great stay at lovely Bourke Boutique hotel”

The location and amenities were great, and breakfast at Bramble was excellent; service was friendly and professional, and taxis and tuktuks were super easy to reach the gated circular entrance, giving the place a really nice vibe. I only deducted a point for comfort because one night we lost power during a brown‑out from 2am to 5am and had no AC, which was rough and I expected a backup generator; another reviewer mentioned rats outside the room, which terrified me and made me paranoid, but it turned out to be completely inaccurate—our room stayed very clean with no sign of vermin.

The property is clean and well maintained, and it’s a decent walk to Roxas Night Market. Unfortunately, even though it’s known as the durian capital of the Philippines, durian is not allowed in the rooms, which isn’t surprising, but I expected to see postings warning guests; we were charged 1000 PHP for having durian.
