Marco was really helpful, let us check in early and gave solid dining tips. The hotel sits on a beautiful street with several restaurants at night, and since we were only in Brindisi for one night it was great to know. Brindisi itself is a hidden gem. Breakfast had plenty of options, but I’d have liked something fresh; not a big deal because there was a great café just downstairs.

The proximity to the historic center was a plus, and they recommended a good place for lunch and dinner and arranged a taxi to the airport (we left early in the morning). We booked three rooms; one had poor ventilation and lighting, and all three had mold in the shower. It was hard to sleep because several businesses below played loud music late into the night. Unfortunately, on our only night there was a heated argument in the patio below those rooms, with the bar staff shouting loudly. The access stairs were narrow and steep. When we left for the airport, the lock on one room’s door jammed and we were locked out while the taxi waited; after several attempts we had to force the door, and the latch gave way. It showed signs of a previous repair. The host then wrote to us saying he would report the damage to the local authorities and to Booking, and we later received a €300 payment demand.

The spot is buzzing with plenty of dining options and the harbor is just a short walk away, but the bed squeaks when you move.

The location is great! The bed makes squeaking noises whenever you shift a little, and the breakfast is disappointing, mostly sweet treats wrapped in plastic.
