“Lovely yurt camp close to the lake with great food and great people!”

The yurt camp is beautiful with views over the lake, surrounded by lovely flowers, comfy beds, clean facilities, hot showers, and great food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included, huge and tasty – the best I’ve had so far in Kyrgyzstan. Dinner was also tasty and good value. You can walk to a sandy beach if you want to swim, and the hosts can arrange trips. The only drawback is that you probably need a car or taxi to get here easily; I took a taxi from Bokonbayevo with my bag, then hitchhiked on the main road and walked the last three kilometers after visiting Skazka canyon.

“Wonderful, would recommend”

The location by the lake is peaceful. The food is great, and the staff were wonderful, helping us organize an eagle‑hunting trip. The only negative point is that payment is cash only, either som or dollars.

The site is a beautiful lakeside facility with mostly rocky beach but also some sandy spots for lying down and bathing. The brand‑new main building has a lounge with panoramic glass on the upper floor, a dining room with excellent breakfast and dinner on the ground floor, and an additional beverage counter. There are twelve beautiful authentic yurts. Wi‑Fi is okay. Toilets and showers are clean but a bit cramped. Parking is available on the fenced grounds. The operation is run by a very friendly and helpful team with English skills, and crisis management during a storm with cloudburst was excellent. Overall, a full recommendation. The only minor criticism is that there are no visible signs, and the camp is a bit hard to find with a poorly marked path.

The place is evocative. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms are clean, as is the yurt. The lake is a five‑minute walk away, with clean water. Breakfast and dinner are excellent. The only suggestion would be to improve the Wi‑Fi connection in the yurt.
