Desiderium Suite in Verona provides a guest‑house feel with free Wi‑Fi, lift access, air‑conditioned rooms, private bathrooms and city views. Each suite includes tea/coffee makers, hairdryers, refrigerators, work desks, TVs, tiled floors, slippers and premium toiletries. Centrally located, it sits five minutes from Ponte Pietra, near Castelvecchio Bridge, Sant’Anastasia and the Verona Arena, with Gardaland 24 km away and Verona Airport 12 km distant. Ice‑skating is nearby.

The location is good and the place is clean and well kept. The cups were paper, making a decent cup of tea was hard. I contacted the owner and the issue was sorted without any fuss – proper mugs were provided, which was much appreciated.

The manager Filippo was extremely responsive, helpful, and apologetic. The location is excellent. The fittings and facilities in the apartments are cheap and poorly installed. As soon as we entered, the very heavy door handle fell off completely. The shower is not properly recessed and the door is oddly installed, so we had water all over the floor and needed a pile of towels constantly to mop it up. They kindly dropped us off a huge pile of towels, but then we were living with mountains of wet towels all over the bathroom. On the second‑last day the lock to the apartment broke completely and we couldn’t close the door. They moved us to a larger suite next door, but it had its own problems. Mostly, the three air‑conditioning units didn’t work and we were in the middle of a heat wave. We ended up sleeping in the original apartment where the door had been smashed through just to get some cool air.
