The house is tucked into nature with banana trees and mountains visible from the window; the bathrooms and rooms are clean, though they could use a refresh. It’s shared. Kika is incredibly kind and prepares excellent breakfasts with yogurt and super papaya jam! The host doesn’t speak English, which makes communication tough, and there are no frequent transport options to Figueral.

A family‑run spot right in the green, offering delicious dinners (800 CVE) and breakfast. The family is extremely warm – I wish I could speak Portuguese or Creole! The huge windows everywhere let you feel surrounded by nature from inside, and it’s located in a very cute local village.

The spot is amazing, right in the mountains and plantations – truly beautiful! It’s perfect if you want to be in the heart of local life. The hosts and meals are great, but remember it’s a tiny hamlet far from everything and hard to reach, which is part of the charm. Watch out for the noisy chickens; bring earplugs.

“J’aimerais bien y revenir”

The welcome, meals, garden, grocery, and nearby transport for hikes are all good, and the route to the jungle is peaceful and folkloric, so I recommend it for a quiet stay in the middle of the jungle. I really liked everything, stayed four nights, a nice little restaurant 15 minutes on foot nearby – just avoid Coculi.
