“Nice Room and Location, but Poor Reception Experience”
The room was spacious with two queen beds, which made our stay more comfortable. It’s right across from the beach and we had a partial ocean view. I’m not sure if this was just our experience or if others have had the same, but people in Central Vietnam seem quite different from those in the North and South. We lived in the North before and are now in the South, and everyone we’ve met has been great. Before traveling to Vietnam, I had heard that these three regions can be quite different, and unfortunately, our experience with the receptionists in Da Nang was not very positive. The weekend receptionists asked us to cancel our reservation and book directly with them instead, which we did. Instead of giving us a better price, they actually charged us more. We showed the receptionist our reservation, but she literally said she didn’t care and that her price was the price. We probably should have walked away, but we had just arrived from the airport and were tired, so we decided to stay anyway.
