The location was great and the breakfast was excellent. We stayed in a loft room and the bathroom was very small. On Sunday the restaurant was closed.

The Gasthof Diem, a 3-star family-run hotel in Krumbach's centre, offers cosy rooms with free Wi-Fi and modern bathrooms. Its 150m² spa area features a Finnish sauna, Roman steam room, and infrared sauna. A beer garden and restaurant serving regional food and fresh meat dishes are also available. The hotel is close to the Swabian Baroque Route's hills and woodlands.

The Diem family really seems to take pride in their business. The property is split into two buildings, plus a restaurant, a butcher shop, and a gourmet shop that carries their family brand. Checking in and out was smooth, and the building we stayed in had an elevator for those who need it. The breakfasts were truly five‑star—very good, varied, and fresh. The complex sits in two buildings across a narrow cobblestone road; it isn’t a main road, but it still gets traffic early and late, which can be noisy. My main gripe was that the complex is about 100 m from the old church. The church has three bells with different tones that strike separately on the hour—36 rings at midnight—and also strike once (three bells) at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour and twice (six bells) at 30 minutes. This happens all through the night. If you’re 300 years old and don’t have a clock, maybe getting up at 5 am to head out to the farm is fine, but there’s no reason for those bells to ring after 10 o’clock or every 15 minutes. Additionally, the Diem family was doing renovations on the main property and I woke up to jackhammers at 7:30. If you stay at Gasthof Diem, avoid a street‑facing unit to reduce road noise. I don’t know what to say about the church bells; I appreciate history and tradition, but I value a good night’s sleep even more. The community could impose some sound restrictions if they wanted to. The construction noise shouldn’t start so early.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The owner was friendly and helpful, and everyone on his team was equally welcoming. Nothing to complain about.

The beer garden and food were nice. The room was hot because it’s on the top floor, the guest bed had a bad mattress, and the city surroundings were extremely noisy.

I liked the central location, but the cobblestone traffic and the church next door were noisy. The reception was friendly. The bathroom was small, dark, and windowless. At breakfast you had to cook or fry the eggs yourself. The church bells rang all night regardless of the time.
