The resort was very nice, with good food, beach, and environment; it’s only 20 minutes from Male by boat and is family‑friendly. A mosque is available on site, and the staff were very kind. Overall, it’s a pleasant place to visit.

From the airport to the whole stay, the experience was special. The small islands are laid out beautifully, giving everyone privacy and space. We went all‑inclusive, and the food at every restaurant was amazing. All the staff were great, and the holiday felt professional, intimate, relaxed, and personal. The diving and the dive crew were exceptional, and all facilities were first‑class. If you’re after bright lights, discos, and a raging nightlife, this isn’t the spot for you.

The air conditioning was ice‑cold and the beach was just metres away. The walk to the restaurants was a bit long, but that didn’t bother us; the real issue was that it felt more like a kids’ place than an adult getaway, and the smoking areas were awful.

The bungalow with a pool on the west side was spacious, comfortable, and well‑serviced, with direct access to a calm lagoon. The buffet food was tasty and varied, and the staff were highly professional, efficient, and polite. Wi‑Fi worked fine. This was our sixth time in the Maldives, so we can compare resorts, and in its price range Velassaru is a clear 10 in every aspect.

We spent our honeymoon here, and it was unforgettable! The hotel left only pleasant memories. The food was especially tasty and varied—every day something new and genuinely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A special thanks to Afu, who organized the jet ski trips; that was one of the highlights of our honeymoon, with great organization, lots of excitement, and unforgettable water views. Huge thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay and atmosphere; we’ll remember this trip with a smile and gladly return.
