Located in the heart of Luxembourg City, Grand Hotel Cravat offers spacious rooms with direct views of the Gëlle Fra War Monument and Notre-Dame Cathedral. The hotel features an on-site restaurant, bar, and American Bar Le Trianon, serving breakfast buffet daily. Luxurious rooms include minibars, TVs, and safety deposit boxes, with private bathrooms and hairdryers. It's a short walk to shopping streets and historic old town, near Luxembourg Train Station (1.4 km).

It’s smack in the heart of downtown, but the street noise is a real nuisance and I had to leave the windows open because there’s no AC.

This historic hotel sits in a prime spot and is full of lovely details from the old Grand Hotel‑Grandezza era; we stayed in a large room, partly furnished with antiques, that offered a wonderful view. Everything was clean and worked fine, the staff were warm and friendly, and the mattress was so good I almost wanted to take it home. The lift, finished in 1945, is wood‑panelled and runs through the stairwell, and in the breakfast room you’ll find a lavish buffet with reinforced linen napkins folded in a bishop‑cap style and dishes made by Villeroy & Boch specifically for this hotel. If you appreciate those touches you’ll feel right at home. We regret not visiting the legendary bar, which we now miss. Some of the newer additions haven’t aged well and a few visual and functional upgrades could really lift the place. That didn’t bother us, but if you’re sensitive about the vibe you might want a newer hotel instead.
