The reception staff spoke fluent English, the room was comfortable, and for someone without a vehicle the bus stop right at the door was handy (note there are two stops in Phu Ruea, the other about a 20‑minute walk). Several roadside stalls were right next to us, and a 7‑Eleven was a 5‑10 minute walk away. The view of the stunning mountains from my balcony was beautiful. The outdoor pool in low season (rain + probably not many guests) had water in a condition that didn’t really invite swimming, even though that was one of the reasons I chose this hotel.

I skipped breakfast because we left early for a sunrise view and returned late; the hotel’s location is good with nearby restaurants and convenience stores.

We had a surprisingly quiet stay at this hotel, considering its main road location. Our room was situated on the side, which helped block out the noise. The small balcony offered a lovely view of the mountain, and we could even see it from our bed. The hotel also provided a free breakfast, which included rice soup, toast, and coffee - a nice touch that wasn't mentioned in the initial description.
