“A total disaster.”
The garden is kinda nice and it’s honestly the only positive thing I found during this stay. The room is honestly small, but that’s probably the least of the issues. The air conditioning is noisy (though it won’t be much of a problem anyway), because with the constant power outages you won’t be using it much. The real issue is the bathroom especially the water, which had a bad smell and a yellowish color (in the shower, sink, and even the toilet). In 20 years of traveling, I had honestly never experienced anything like this. Another terrible issue, again related to the water, was the pressure: despite being on the ground floor, it was basically nonexistent (not just low but completely nonexistent; the water only flowed by gravity). There were also ants in the bathroom. Breakfast was a disaster. First of all, it’s just one dish to choose from among 4 or 5 options (I had the pancakes, and they were terrible), and nothing comes with it except instant coffee. The staff even had the audacity to charge me 140 pesos for two tiny canned fruit juices, which I of course paid. The hotel also rents motorbikes, which I would strongly advise against given the road conditions (not just simple dirt roads, but actual rocky terrain). The location is also quite remote, at the far end of Port Barton
